Russian space program to get 45 bln rubles extra within 3 years

MOSCOW, September 12 (Itar-Tass) -- Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said on Friday he was about to authorize the allocation of additional 45 billion rubles for the federal space program within the next three years. The Cosmos program is purely civilian, Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov said. “The funds will be spent on the design of Russia’s new space port in the Amur region and on manned space programs Russia carries on together with foreign partners [the International Space Station],” he said.
